My last Sunday

Today was very quiet. It was cold for most of the day holding at 48 degrees. I went out at 52 degrees to just walk. It is so wonderful to live by water where I can be there in 2 minutes. I walked along the pier again and this time I walked the gang planks to get to the boats. It was so quiet and peaceful. I was in my element. I just walked among the boats and watch some men cleaning up from their day out at sea. The sun was setting and it went from gorgeous white clouds to red and orange. Walked to the residential area on the west side and saw the Obama house. Loved the flag and the orange accents from Halloween. This house sits on the bay with the most glorious views. After walking for an hour I went to Betsy's to the bar for a drink and a plain old cheeseburger with bacon and fries. Met two women who had just moved here part time from somewhere near Boston. We ended up talking politics and one of the women (a cheap drunk) starts saying how she voted for Obama was now voting for Romney. Needless to say her partner and me eventually wore her down with facts and I think we convinced her. It doesn't really matter because Mass. is a blue state anyway. She got so loud the bar tender came over and told her to calm it down. He was getting stressed. Funny, for a bar tender. Anyway she quieted down left a great tip, bought me a drink and invited to their house tomorrow to visit. I then walked home and the streets were so quiet with no one around. See facebook for the tape.

  2. Thanks Valerie. Trying to make the memories. It is so gorgeous when it is late afternoon and only the locals are left. It's quiet and eery as I walk around and stroll home.

  3. Sounds like a beautiful and peaceful day, even with talking politics.

  4. Joey, so glad Politics are coming to a close. I can't take any more politics. I refuse to defend Obama to all the people who complain. I believe he will win by more than they think and if not Canada is looking better and better.
Meanwhile I try and state in a state of peacefulness.
